International Jazz Day

International Jazz Day, led globally by UNESCO and the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz.

In Windhoek, this year’s celebration is presented by the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC), in partnership with Ondjila Y’Ondjaba Concert Agency, UNESCO, the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture and Energy100.

Under the theme:
“Ladies First: Namibian Voices, Global Language”
The 2026 edition places focus on women in jazz, while situating Namibian artists within an international conversation.
