DESCRIPTION:14-28 February 2026 18:00 Every Wednesday Windhoek \n\n\n\nFNCC invites the public to a special film tribute to Alain Delon\, one of the most iconic figures in French and European cinema. The tribute will take place over three consecutive Wednesdays\, from 14 to 28 January\, with screenings held at 6pm in the FNCC cinema. \n\n\n\nAlain Delon’s career spans several decades and includes some of the most memorableperformances in French film history. Known for his striking screen presence and complexcharacters\, Delon became a defining figure of 1960s cinema\, working with some of the era’s most influential directors. This curated tribute highlights three films that reflect the diversity of his roles\, from crime thriller and historical adventure to psychological noir. \n\n\n\nThe programme opens on Wednesday\, 14 January with Any Number Can Win (Mélodie en sous-sol\, 1963)\, directed by Henri Verneuil. A landmark French heist film\, it stars Alain Delon alongside Jean Gabin in a tense story of a meticulously planned casino robbery on the French Riviera\, marked by a compelling clash between generations.
